With the financial sponsorship from Old Sokians United Kingdom (OS-UK Registered Charity in the United Kingdom Registration Number - SC047150) past pupils of Ambalangoda Dharmasoka College in association with 6th Regiment Sri Lanka Army Armoured Corps and 4th Regiment Sri Lanka Army Armoured Corps were able to construct a toilet facility, along with donating shoes and socks and NSB ‘HAPAN’ savings account with an initial deposit for all children. This project successfully completed under direction of the Commanding Officer of 6th SLAC Lt Col Suranga Pilimatalawa psc and Commanding Officer of the 4th Armoured Regiment Lt Col Suranga Witharana psc and handed over to the school ceremonially by Old Sokian Mr & Mrs Namal De Silva on 18 November 2022.

This was exclusively coordinated by former secretary of Ministry of Enterprises Mr Purathi Jayakumara and OS-UK President Mr Mohamed Shiyamin. All building materials and logistics were coordinated by Tissa Wijesundara and Janaka Devapura in Sri Lanka. Funds for this project were raised entirely by Ruhun De Silva, the son of Dr. Samantha De Silva, a trustee of the OS-UK. He played 100 golf holes in a day, starting at 6 am playing through non-stop until 8 pm carrying a 15kg golf bag along the way, a mammoth task which was rewarded with generous contributions from members of Trentham Gold Club, members of the OS-UK as well as the local community of Stoke on Trent. Residue funds he raised was donated to R.M. Aberathna housing build initiative during the luncheon.
